“I'd love plants, but they always die on me.” Sound familiar? The problem is usually not you. It's the plant you started with.
Start with a forgiving plant, learn its simple needs, and you'll be surprised how quickly your home turns green. Here are 6 plants that are almost impossible to get wrong, most of them for just ₹99. 🌱
💡 Golden rule: water only when the top soil feels dry to your finger

Green Money Plant: the friendliest first plant
☀️ Light: Any bright room · 💧 Water: When the top soil is dry
If you can grow only one plant, grow this. It's happy in a pot or in a simple glass bottle of water, grows fast, and quickly shows you if something is wrong. Yellow leaves usually mean too much water.

5 mistakes most beginners make
1. Too much water. More plants die from too much water than too little. Push a finger into the soil. If it's still damp, wait.
2. A pot without a hole. Extra water must drain out. If your decorative pot has no hole, keep the plant in its nursery pot inside it.
3. Moving it every day. Plants take time to settle. Pick a spot and give it a week or two before deciding.
4. Repotting on day one. A plant that has just travelled is a little stressed. Let it rest for a few days before you shift it to a new pot.
5. Too much fertilizer. A spoon or two of Vermicompost once a month is plenty for a small pot. More is not better.
